I never knew that about the black and white stripes! When you are editing your own work, read it out loud. This will help you pick up extra errors that your eyes might miss.

Sharks In The B.O.P.
To the lifeguards.
There are 15 sightings of sharks which 5 are attacks a year at the B.O.P. I think that is pretty creepy so I want it to stop. It would be smart spending money on equipment to prevent sharks from coming into the main beach.
Some of the equipment that will be needed could be a hassle but it would keep our beach safe from any shark problems. One or two sharks are bad enough, some great white sharks have only one pup at a time after 11 months gestation period, while others reports say they can give birth to 4-14 pups at a time. The best way to prevent going near sharks is to avoid going near waters contaminated with effluents or sewage. Sharks are drawn to these areas. Of course, that’s not the only reason to not go into polluted water.
Black and white stripes mimic a poisonous predator that sharks are very likely to not get near. If you are boogie-boarding or surfing paint these patterns on for extra security.
Avoid steep drop-offs and the areas between sandbars. These are among sharks’ favorite haunts. Always have a lifeguard watching we you swim in water with no shark nets.
Its best to wear dull swimwear and wetsuits because bright an flashy swim wear attract sharks. Great whites display countershading, having a white underside, a grayish black dorsal area. They also have up to 3000 teeth and when they lose one it grows back! To prevent sharks from coming into the main beach we will have to put up a safety net near any big drop off near the main beaches as sharks like these areas. If you go out swimming its a 10/100 chance of seeing a shark.
Don't take any pet in the sea because the violent moving and shaking and there small size can cause shark attention and will cause trouble on the beach, And no one wants sharks in the water.
So are sharks going to become a threat in the B.O.P? Will they have to close down the beach? (I hope not!)
